Haenyeo, female divers, are found on a number of Korea's outlaying islands. However, they are most well-known (and most numerous) in Jeju-Do. They have great physical stamina. They need no scuba gear, but are able to hold their breath underwater for two minutes and reach a depth of twenty meters. All they need are: fins, a wetsuit, face mask, gloves, basket and net.
