Postcards

Have we heard people say:
Friends are like stars,
You don't see them often,
But, you know that they are always there.

Looking at these postcards that had been posted to me this recent years,
they seemed like my very own stars!
That will always be in my heart.

It reminds me that I have not been forgotten...yet! :^p
It is always nice to receive cards from other places.
Its beautiful stamps with notes, travelling thousands miles to me to say hello!
Zero distance...an immediate feeling which I've got when I received it.

Stays forever...
Days when I'm gone...
You will be remembered...
Always....

Pangkor Island

Fu Lin Kong - One of the famous Chinese Temple at Pangkor Island. It has an exquisite environment to take photos! You could find many alcoves and ponds around the temple. To your surprise, there is a mini Great Wall of China here and it has reflected the magnificent view of this temple!

Streets are quiet...but try to come here again during Chinese New Year and you will see a new appearance of this island! (that's what I've been told..haa ^=^)

Ooh, local dried seafood shop can be easily found here...(most common produts are like: dried anchovies, shrimps, oyster, scallop, prawn chips...etc)

Encouragement

Some of the greatest success stories of history have followed a word of encouragement or an act of confidence by a loved on or a trusted friend. Had it not been for a confident wife, Sophia, we might not have listed among the great names of literature the name name of Nathaniel Hawthorne. When Nathaniel, a heartbroken man, went home to tell his wife that he was a failure and had been fired from his job in a customhouse, she surprised him with an exclamation of joy.
"Now," she said triumphantly, "you can write your book!"
"Yes," replied the man, with sagging confidence, "and what shall we live on while I am writing it?"
To his amazement, she opened a drawer and pulled out a substantial amount of money.
"Where on earth did you get that?" he exclaimed.
"I have always known you were a man of genius," she told him. "I knew that someday you would write a masterpiece. So every week, out of the money you gave me for housekeeping, I saved a little bit. So here is enought to last us for one whole year."
From her trust and confidence came one of the greatest novels of American literature, The Scarlet Letter.

Make It Come True

In 1957 a ten-year old boy in California set a goal. At the time Jim Brown was the greatest running back ever to play pro football and this tall, skinny boy wanted his autograph. In order to accomplish his goal, the young boy had to overcome some obstacles.
He grew up in the ghetto, where he never got enough to eat. Malnutrition too its toll, and a disease called rickets forced him to wear steel splints to support his skinny, bowed-out legs. He had no money to buy a ticket to get into the game, so he waited patiently near the locker room until the game ended and Jim Brown left the field. He politely asked Brown for his autograph. As Brown signed, they boy explained, "Mr. Brown, I have your picture on my wall. I know you hold all the records. You're my idol."
Brown smiled and began to leave, but the young boy wasn't finished. He proclaimed, "Mr. Brown, one day I'm going to break every record you hold!" Brown was impressed and asked, "What is your name, son?"
The boy replied, "Orenthal James. My friends call me O.J."
O. J. Simpson went on to break all but three of the rushing records held by Jim Brown before injuries shortened his football career. Goal setting is the strongest force for human motivation. Set a goal and make it come true.
